Mediation Training for Pastors

Mediation Training for PastorsIf you are a pastor or a seminary student, you may be interested in the mediation training program we are developing. This program would familiarize you with the details related to God’s Design for Marriage, the mediation process, foundational agreement drafting, and the resources used in mediation to help couples rebuild and restore their marriage. If you are interested in such a program so you can learn what we do, send us an email, and we will notify you when and where the training program will be conducted.

I’m interested in your upcoming November 2012 seminar. I’m a graduate student at Liberty University, expecting to graduate in December 2012 with an M.A. in professional counseling. I am currently halfway through a 600-hr internship at Catoctin Counseling Center in Hagerstown, MD. I would like clarification on how you differentiate mediation from coaching and counseling. I enjoy my work at CCC but would love the opportunity to observe how marriage work is different in a faith-based setting. I am pursuing an LPC instead of an MFT because I want to maximize my marketability in the workplace and am open to counseling people with widely varied wounds, but my heart is for healing marriages. If you would be willing, I’d love the opportunity to meet with you to learn more about your unique practice. If you and any of your couples would consent to include me, I’d love the opportunity to simply sit in on one of your mediations and simply observe your process. I hope to hear from you soon!
